Press Release: RECAP OF FIRST FIVE EPISODES OF “THE MOLE,” PLUS NEW MATERIAL WILL AIR AS ONE-HOUR SPECIAL, MONDAY, JULY 14 ON ABC

Posted on June 25, 2008 at 9:10 am by spamgirl

A recap of the first five episodes, plus never-before-seen footage will air as a one-hour special, “The Mole: Take Another Look,” MONDAY, JULY 14 (9:00-10:00 p.m., ET), followed by “Episode 506″ (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET) on ABC. Jon Kelley (”Extra,” “The National Sports Report,” “Baseball Today”) is host of the show. Note: “The Mole” will be preempted on Monday, July 7.

Here are highlights of the first five episodes:

“Episode 501,” Premiere: 12 players met for the first time in Los Angeles, Chile. Their first mission was jumping over the edge of a waterfall, facing their greatest fears, and one player was left stranded on a deserted beach to fend for himself/herself. Marcie Ciscel (Corona, CA) was Executed.

“Episode 502″: The players faced a formidable team while playing Chile’s most popular sport, soccer. And Bobby traveled in a wheelbarrow while searching for the town’s missing pigs. Liz Cain (Whitefish, MT) was Executed.

“Episode 503″: The players roamed through the streets of Santiago in their underwear, begging for clothes — for Ali, Kristen and Victoria, their highlight was getting marriage proposals from whistling workers. And, big surprise, Paul picked a fight at the dinner table. Ali Sonoma (St. Louis, MO), who took a $30,000 bribe to leave the show, and Bobby O’Donnell (Philadelphia, PA) were Executed.

“Episode 504″: The eight remaining players traveled to the majestic Andes, where they faced a treacherous trek up a mountain carrying bricks of gold. And a surprising twist pushed one of them to the brink. Victoria Garza (Bishop, TX) was Executed.

“Episode 505″ (airs MONDAY, JUNE 30): The players must trust each other in order to be rescued from the freezing cold. And the most loved player becomes the most hated.

I’m the Mole, You’re the Mole… Everyone’s the MOLE!!!

Posted on June 24, 2008 at 2:57 pm by meecie

Things I find amusing about this year’s offering of “The Mole”:  Too many people trying to pretend that they are the Mole.  They all can’t be the Mole.

*Nicole, you are way too obvious in your so-called Mole behavior.  If you want to side-track other players and get them to believe you are the Mole, then be subtle.  Something tells me you don’t know the definition of the word.

*Paul, ditto.  Oh and one more thing, its okay to occasionally take the day off from being such a big JERK to everyone.  If the real Mole doesn’t execute You soon, I can see Nicole making good on her threat to do bodily harm to you (and I wouldn’t blame her for it either)!

*Mark, are you for real?  I seriously thought you were going to either off yourself last night or the Host,  Jon Kelly.  Not Mole behavior in my Journal but some seriously funny stuff when your “precious” was taken from you!  Very reminiscent of Smeagol and his “precious”.  ;)

*Clay, I don’t know… it seems to me you are playing too hard to get the other players to believe you are the Mole too.  But you are better at it than Nicole.

*Kristen,  I can honestly say that I haven’t figured out your game-play yet.

*Subtly thy name is Alex.  This guy is playing the game better than any of the other players IMO.  If he isn’t The Mole, then he could very well win this game!  Dude is as cool as a cucumber.

*Craig, I don’t believe for one second that you were faking your illness last night but, I have to wonder if the Producers took advantage of the situation by confiscating every one’s Diaries.  Except Alex & yours.  I would keep them under lock and key though or Paul may steal one just so he can have some alone time with it.

;)

Article: ‘The Mole’s’ Bobby O’Donnell Spills (Almost) Everything

“Witnessing a few hundred gay people getting married sort of redeems the queer community. Nearly. But who can wear a hopeful smile now that contestant Bobby O’Donnell has been eliminated from the ABC competitive reality-show The Mole? Exactly, zero of us.”

Press Release: TWO PEOPLE LEFT “THE MOLE” LAST NIGHT; NEXT EPISODE AIRS MONDAY, JUNE 23, ON ABC

Posted on June 18, 2008 at 11:04 am by spamgirl

Ali Sonoma (St. Louis, MO), who took a $30,000 bribe to leave the game, and Bobby O’Donnell (Philadelphia, PA), who was one of the most committed players but didn’t last after taking the quiz, became the third and fourth players to leave “The Mole” in a rare double “Execution” during last night’s episode. The fourth episode airs MONDAY, JUNE 23 (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network. Jon Kelley (”Extra,” “The National Sports Report,” “Baseball Today”) is host.

In the new hour, “Episode 504,” the eight remaining players travel to the majestic Andes, where they face a treacherous trek up a mountain carrying bricks of gold. And a surprising twist pushes one of them to the brink.

The 8 players remaining on “The Mole” are:
Alex (Haverford, PA)
Clay (Philadelphia, PA)
Craig (San Diego, CA)
Kristen (Santa Monica, CA)
Mark (Mukwonago, WI)
Nicole (Chicago, IL)
Paul (Yonkers, NY)
Victoria (Bishop, TX)

ALI SONOMA — Ali is a model, who has worked as a ring girl for the UFC. She describes herself as “stunning” and believes her beauty helps her get her way, but also causes people to instantly dismiss her, which she thought would benefit her in the game. Ali used to be a wild, party girl. She celebrated her 21st birthday with Motley Crue in Las Vegas. But now she treats her body as a temple. She has strong religious beliefs and has settled down with her boyfriend, a UFC fighter. She claims to have a 75% accuracy rate with shotguns and is experienced in fishing. She considers herself ambitious and caring, but also forgetful and prone to road rage. Ali planned on using her beauty and brains to outsmart the other players.

BOBBY O’DONNELL — Bobby loves games, competing and winning, though you may not know it from his low key exterior. He is a hardcore fan of “The Mole” and used to host Mole watching parties in his basement. His weakness was his physique. He’s a little frail and not very athletic. But he knows the game well and thought had a solid strategy to form coalitions with less intelligent players whom he could lead astray. Being gay, he felt that his “gaydar” — the ability to recognize other gay people — would help him read people in the game.

“The Mole” is produced by Stone & Company Entertainment. In the final dramatic episode, the “Mole” will be revealed and one of two final players can win up to $500,000.
