“If you’re looking for insight on The Mole’s identity for the show’s upcoming revival, new host Jon Kelley is a good place to start.
“I got to know these players on a different level and know their psychology and also observe their game play,” Jon told Reality TV World in a Wednesday interview. “Most of these players came in as fans of the show, so they’ve seen it and knew it. They had different ways to approach it. These were pretty smart players understanding the nuances of this game. So I got to get up close and personal, know them.”
The Mole’s fifth season — the show’s first non-celebrity edition in six years — will premiere Monday, June 2 at 10PM ET/PT on ABC, with the 12 contestants competing in new missions at new locations while trying to determine who among them is The Mole — a saboteur trying to keep them from winning money in the game.

Jon Kelley co-hosted “Extra’s” one-hour weekend edition and was also the primary correspondent for the daily show from 2001 through 2007. In December he co-hosted ABC’s “Holiday with the Stars,” and also co-hosted ABC’s “All-star Tribute to Movies” on Oscar Sunday. Kelley’s diverse broadcast career has spanned more than 15 years in news, sports and entertainment.

“When “The Mole” first debuted, the reality series wasn’t as revered as it is now. From accusations that it ripped off “Survivor” to critics’ complaints that the game was too complicated or intellectual, the mystery-based competition didn’t seem to have much of a chance of lasting more than one season. That it is now being resurrected eight years later, with a new season premiering June 2, is perhaps its greatest surprise of all.
During its initial run in early 2001, “The Mole” eventually won over viewers and some critics, thanks to smart game play, stunning locations, and witty host Anderson Cooper, now of CNN. Its premise is simple, despite what some critics argued at the time: Contestants work to complete challenges and earn money if those are successfully completed. One contestant, however, works for the producers, attempting to sabotage the players’ efforts. ”

Ali Sonoma, once engaged to UFC Diego Sancehz, recently moved to LA in order to pursue acting and modeling (judging by her pics she shouldn’t have much problem there). We’ll see if reality television jumpstarts her career.”
